Domi violently rips Matheson's helmet off his head to get him to fight and taunts him from the penalty box!

We all know there has been a rivalry of some sort between the Montreal Canadiens and the Florida Panthers ever since Habs forward Max Domi was suspended for a total of five preseason contests when he received a match penalty for punching Aaron Ekblad in the face after the defenseman declined an invitation to fight. Domi gave Ekblad a couple light shots to the face with his left glove before shaking off his right glove and dropping Ekblad with a bare-knuckle shot.

A few days after the sucker punch took place, Ekblad met media members with a busted-up nose and a pair of black eyes to comment on Domi's actions. 

“I think it’s dumb. I think he’s stupid for doing it,” Ekblad said. “But in the end, that’s hockey. That’s the way it goes.

“Scores will get settled at a later date.”

When both teams met over the holiday period, nothing happened between Domi and Ekblad as it seems both players have moved on from the incident. However, Domi will remain Domi. 

On Tuesday night, the Habs hosted the Panthers and things got heated up in the first period when Domi got into it with Mike Matheson in front of the Panthers' net. While the officials attempted to break them apart, Domi wasn't having any of it and violently ripped the helmet off the head of Matheson to get him to drop the gloves. 

Domi got a double minor for roughing and from the penalty box, he made sure to laugh at Matheson's face to let him know he was expecting more from the Panthers' enforcer. 

Domi will always be Domi... While it has been hard for him to find the back of the net in the past few weeks, he sure knows how to get noticed in a game nonetheless.
