What a jerk!

Mike Milbury did it again, and it gets worse and worse.

The veteran broadcaster who has a habit of putting his foot in his putting his foot in his mouth and making an ass of himself literally EVERY time he’s on the air, and Thursday night wasn’t any different.

During the broadcast of Game 5 between the Washington Capitals and New York Islanders, play by play announcer John Forslund was waxing poetically about the NHL’s “bubble” in Toronto and how great of an environment it is for the players so that they can properly focus and get down to work. So what does Milbury do? He butts in with a ridiculous comment about how “there are no women around to distract you.”

It didn’t take long for fans to loudly criticize Milbury and demand that NBC Sports fires his ass on the spot.

On top of that, in Canada (of course), Don Cherry started trending with people saying that if Grapes was fired from CBC and Sportsnet for saying “you people”, then Milbury should get dismissed from his misogynistic comments (amongst other things).

Grapes was fired for making divisive comments about immigrants and newcomers to Canada who do not wear a poppy to show support for Canadian veterans.

Cherry said:

“You people … you love our way of life, love our milk and honey. At least you could pay a couple of bucks for poppies or something like that. These guys paid for your way of life that you enjoy in Canada.”

Those words generated enough outrage online to the point where Rogers felt they had no choice but to dismiss Cherry from his job.

The same thing should happen to Milbury as fans are growing louder and louder by the second to support women - not only in sports - but across the world and demand that he be fired.
