Don Cherry sends a special message to his Canadian fans.

Don Cherry sent a special message to his fans north of the border on Sunday evening.

In spite of the fact that it has been quite some time since he hosted Coach's Corner on Hockey Night in Canada, Don Cherry remains one of the most beloved figures in the hockey community. The former National Hockey League head coach still pops his head out every once in a while to share his take on all matters hockey, but this time he is doing so for a different reason.

On Sunday, Cherry decided to take to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a special message with all of his fellow Canadians ahead of Thanksgiving on Monday. The 89 year old Cherry didn't waste many words, simply wishing all a "Happy Thanksgiving" which was accompanied by a photo of him on the verge of carving up a delicious looking turkey.

In spite of the fact that his role on Coach's Corner came to an end under some controversial circumstances, the response to Cherry's messages continue to be universally positive and I am happy to report that this was once again the case for his message on Sunday.

A very Happy Thanksgiving to you as well Grapes.
