Don Cherry with an update for fans on his plans for the 2024-25 NHL season
Yes! Let's go, Grapes!
Another NHL regular season is upon us and Grapes is back!
Earlier today legendary hockey broadcaster Don Cherry informed his fans that he's bringing back his 'Grapeline' Don Cherry Podcast for the 2024-25 NHL season.
From Grapes himself:
Let's go, Grapes!
To me, hockey just isn't the same with Cherry on the sidelines. It's hard to believe that we're just a month away from the 5 year "anniversary" of CBC and Sportsnet unceremoniously removing Cherry from the airwaves. Without getting too deep into the controversy surrounding Cherry's firing, I'm of the opinion that he deserves a chance back on television. At 90 years of age though, I wouldn't blame Cherry if he was content to do his own thing on his own terms, but I can't help but feel like his presence is missed is missed on NHL broadcasts.
Looking forward to your first episode of the season, Grapes!
