Draisaitl has a message for Oilers' first round opponent
Let's go! Can we just drop the puck on the post-season already?

Edmonton Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl has a special message for whichever team faces his in the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs:
“I wouldn’t want to play us in the first round.”

I'll be honest though, if I'm a Western Conference playoff team and I'm looking up and down the standings the Oilers actually may be one of the team's I'd most want to face. I'm not breaking any news here, but the Oilers are a little suspect in goal. And when it comes to the playoffs, goaltending can be everything. How many teams have we seen go on a run solely because of hot goaltending? Conversely, how many deep teams have we seen sunk by poor goaltending?
I'm not saying that the fate of the Oilers is sealed, but their goaltending gives me serious cause for concern heading down the stretch and into the post-season. And let's not forget that the Oilers haven't clinched anything yet. Yes, they're pretty comfortably in a playoff spot, sitting four points up on the Los Angeles Kings and six points up on the Vegas Golden Knights, but things happen and nothing is guaranteed until they officially clinch.
I will also say though, I am excited to Draisaitl play some playoff hockey this spring. While Connor McDavid gets most of the limelight in Edmonton, I feel like Draisaitl's game is more suited to the post-season and I'm excited to see him take things to another level. Drop the puck already. Let's go!
