Marvel Studios may have to seriously consider giving the role of Wolverine in their next movie to Winnipeg Jets captain Adam Lowry.

The Jets captain appeared to show the beloved superhero's superhuman healing abilities this week when he made an appearance back on the ice well ahead of his projected recovery schedule. Lowry, who underwent hip surgery on May 27th of this year, was expected to miss at least the next 5-6 months while recovering from the major surgical procedure.

That led most to believe that Lowry would be forced to miss time at the start of the regular season and while that may still be the case, Lowry appears to be seriously defying those odds.

On Tuesday, the Winnipeg Jets shared some jaw dropping images through their official social media channels, images that show Lowry is already back on the ice just roughly 3 months after going under the knife.

These weren't just pictures of Lowry just standing around either, but were instead images that appeared to show that Lowry is already working through some basic drills and stick handling with the puck.

You can see the images from the Jets just below:

In spite of being limited by a pretty serious injury last season, Lowry is coming off of a strong campaign that saw him record a career high of 16 goals and add 18 assists for a total of 34 points over 73 games.

Now it is important to note that Lowry being back on the ice does not indicate that he has fully recovered from the surgery and in fact he could still need significant time to reach what we would consider a full recovery. That being said, having him back on the ice so quickly after such a major procedure has to feel like wonderful news for both the Jets organization as well as their fans.

I hope Lowry continues to make a speedy recovery and can be ready in time for the start of the 2025-26 NHL regular season.
