Ducks and Troy Terry ridiculously far apart in contract arbitration
This is kind of silly at this point.
HockeyFeed
According to a report from NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Anaheim Ducks and restricted free agent Troy Terry have both submitted their salary arbitration submissions and are $3.5 million apart.
The Ducks insist that Terry is worth just $4.5 million annually, while Terry himself claims that he's worth $8 million annually.
From Friedman:
I mean... $8 million? C'mon, bro...
The 25 year old American forward is coming off a deal that paid him $1.450 per season, so he's certainly due a raise... but not into the $8 million mark, in my opinion. He put up a stellar 23 goals and 61 points in 71 games for an absolutely dreadful Ducks team this past season. There's no denying the fact that he's a talented player who deserves a more lucrative contract, but a jump of $6.55 million annually seems a bit excessive.
