Ducks give entry-level contract to very promising prospect.

The offseason is the best time of the year to manage prospects and plan for the future. Some prospect don't turn as good as anticipated while others, who were picked in later rounds as a gambling project, turn out better than expected. 

This is precisely what happened with youngster Alex Dostie, who broke out massively in the QMJHLlast season. Today, the Ducks signed him on a three-years deal. 

With the contract in his pocket, he will have plenty of time to develop fully without stressing about his future. It's still not sure he will establish himself as a regular pro, but at least he now has the tools to do so!
