This just in in Anaheim:

The Anaheim Ducks have just announced that their Executive Vice President and General Manager Bob Murray has been placed on administrative leave pending an ongoing investigation related to professional conduct.
This is the statement from the team: “We recently became aware of accusations of improper professional conduct against Bob Murray. After internal review, we enlisted Shephard Mullin to perform an independent investigation. Upon recommendation from their initial findings, we have decided to place Bob on administrative leave pending final results. In the interim, Vice President of Hockey Operations and Assistant General Manager Jeff Solomon will assume the role of Interim General Manager. We will have no further comment until the investigation is complete.”
The statement does not reveal what the professional conduct is about. This sure sounds serious…
Murray has been with the Ducks since 2005, and became GM upon Brian Burke's exit from the club in 2008. He had previously served as the GM of the Chicago Blackhawks from 1997 to 1999 and also worked with the Vancouver Canucks as a professional scout. Back in 2014, Murray was the recipient of the Jim Gregory Award as the NHL's general manager of the year.
The 66-year-old is also a former player, taking part in 1,008 NHL games over 15 seasons with the Blackhawks from 1974 to 1990.
