A big injury for Anaheim could bring back a familiar duo.

The Anaheim Ducks may be thinking about a blast from the past as they attempt to tie their second round Stanley Cup Playoff series against the Edmonton Oilers.

Ducks insider Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register is now reporting that veteran winger Corry Perry found himself wearing the same color jersey as Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf on Wednesday, indicating the two would be reunited on the team's top line and potentially the power-play unit as well.

The shift in the line up is likely largely due to the fact that veteran winger Patrick Eaves still has not skated since the injury to his foot, and it seems extremely unlikely that he will be in the line up this evening. That being said, Perry plans to make the best of his new-found opportunity.

“I’m comfortable there obviously,” Perry said. “”Yeah, I was there for a long time. It’s something that if it ends up that way, it’s a good thing for me. I just got to embrace it and roll with it.”

The Ducks are hoping the long-time duo can find some of their old magic and propel them past the Oilers to go 2-2 in the series, whether or not they will do so remains to be seen.
