Dunn takes a puck in the face, spits blood out on the ice

Midway through a fantastic first period of hockey between the St. Louis Blues and San Jose Sharks and things got scary for a moment. 

While defending an area in front of the Blues net, defenseman Vince Dunne took a shot directly to the face. He hit the deck pretty quickly and came up spitting blood…

It’s an ugly scene, but it only serves to prove that hockey players are the toughest athletes in all of sport.
