Dylan Holloway makes curious move after signing offer sheet.

Does Dylan Holloway regret his decision to sign an offer sheet to leave the Oilers?

It was a breakout season for young Dylan Holloway in his first season as a member of the St. Louis Blues and it is for that reason that a recently announced decision from Holloway has left many scratching their heads.

On Saturday, it was announced that Holloway was parting ways with his agent Blake Robson of Dynasty Hockey Group and would instead be switching to agent Judd Moldaver of Wasserman Hockey moving forward. Moldaver is viewed as one of the most powerful agents in the sport, representing high profile clients like Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid and Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews, but in spite of that the moves comes at a curious time.

Holloway just recently signed his deal with the Blues when he accepted an offer sheet in August of 2024, a 2 year deal that carries an average annual value and salary cap hit of $2.29 million per season. Holloway however has already played his way into a significant raise on his next contract after a 77 game regular season in which he put up 26 goals and 37 assists for a total of 63 points.

In fact one could easily argue that Holloway's offensive production played a significant role in the St. Louis Blues managing to make their way into the 2025 Stanley Cup playoffs this season.

If things are working out so well for Holloway, then why the sudden need to swap agents? Is Holloway having second thoughts about his decision to sign an offer sheet this summer after seeing his former team go on another deep run to another Stanley Cup Final? Let me know what you think in the comments.
