Echoes from the GM morning meetings: change to point system proposed.

Today began the annual general managers meeting, this time in Boca Raton, Florida. The list of topics expected to be discussed is pretty light, focusing mainly on the point system in the shootout era and the traditional debate about hits to the head.

A few reports emanated from the meeting this morning, where GM split in small groups to discuss the point system.

Veteran GM Lou Lamoriello on the other hand says he would rather go back to 2 points for a win and zero for any kind of loss. No loser point

Was discussed also the future of the league in a broad perspective.

The GMs were broken into 4 groups today and tasked with this question: "How do you view the game in 5-10 years?" All kinds of ideas explored

On a more tragic note, the scheduled fishing trip had to be canceled because of the win, a true tragedy.
