Toronto Maple Leafs forward Wayne Simmonds hasn't forgotten about the knee on knee hit delivered by Vancouver Canucks defenceman Alex Edler on Leafs forward Zach Hyman just 10 days ago. You may recall that Edler hung a knee on Hyman a couple weeks back, sending Hyman sprawling to the ice and onto the IR with a sprained MCL in his knee.

Edler earned himself a a two game suspension for the hit and a date with Simmonds to settle the score. Now, the beef is squashed.

In all seriousness, good on Edler for standing in there and taking his licks. Despite what some Leafs fans may tell you, he's not a dirty player. He's a well respected veteran and has earned a reputation as a hard nosed, but clean, defenceman.
