According to Darren Dreger from TSN, the Edmonton Oilers have signed goaltender Cam Talbot to a 3 year extension worth $12.5M, with an average salary of $4.16M per year and cap hit.
Talbot was Peter Chiarelli's first grand gesture as the Oilers' general manager.
The 28 year-old played 26 games with the Oilers and holds a 8-13-3 record, which is not so good, but his save percentage of .914 is a really good sign, especially playing behind a porous defence in Edmonton.
Cam Talbot has been real better lately, making 359 saves on 383 shots in 13 starts since December 14, good for a more than satisfying save percentage of .937.
