Elias Pettersson tries to waive off a soft call from the refs

Here's something you don't see everyday, an NHL player actively appealing to the referees to reverse a penalty call that would put his team on the powerplay.

Check out Vancouver Canucks forward Elias Pettersson attempting to waive off a tripping call on Dallas Stars forward Max Domi, presumably because he feels the call is too soft.

Unfortunately, or fortunately maybe, this isn't the NFL and you can't decline the call. The Canucks did indeed get the man advantage.
