Marc-André Fleury is more often than not a key factor in a Golden Knights victory. He consistently finds ways to keep his team in the game with incredible saves and clutch plays.

Today, we learn that Marc-André Fleury did not participate in Vegas' morning practice. Malcom Subban who returned from injury recently was sitting in for him as the starting netminder. Subban looked unbothered by his previous injury during the on-ice training session.

Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant was quick to manage any concerns from the press or the fans that Marc-André Fleury missed the practice because of an injury. It was "just a maintenance day", said Gallant. Fleury played in 13 of Vegas' 14 games so far this season and attrition could be a factor without him necessarily being injured.

However, the Golden Knights made another announcement during the day which caused worry around the team. Goaltender Garret Sparks was an emergency call up for Vegas from the AHL's Chicago Wolves.

It is quite possible that sparks was called up last minute for the practice, but the media and fans alike are wondering whether today really was "just a maintenance day" for Vegas' star netminder.

We will have to wait and see whether Marc-André Fleury will be set to start for the Golden Knights tomorrow evening against the Winnipeg Jets. Let's hope that the Flower is healthy and that he is simply getting some well earned rest.
