It's a divisional clash at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto tonight, as the Maple Leafs host the Boston Bruins on Hockey Night in Canada. But ahead of tonight's game, the Leafs have been forced into making a goaltending transaction.
They've recalled veteran net minder Martin Jones from the American Hockey League affiliate Toronto Marlies thanks to an illness to Ilya Samsonov:
Jones, who is in his 1st year with the Maple Leafs organization, was originally brought in from the Seattle Kraken but was waived and subsequently assigned to the Marlies. He's posted a 2-1-1 record with a 3.37 goals against average and .870 save percentage.
Joseph Woll has been confirmed as tonight's starter, while Jones will serve as backup. The game is set to begin at 7:00 PM EST.
