An amazing debut for the young man and his family in attendance.

The only thing better than watching a rookie achieve massive success in his National Hockey League debut is watching the reaction that it usually prompts from the family in attendance.

On Monday night we witnessed the debut of Jake Guentzel as both an NHL player and a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and while we wrote a piece yesterday on why we thought Guentzel could be a big weapon for the Penguins going forward, even we didn't expect this in his debut performance.

The 22-year-old forward went off in the first period picking up both his first and his second career NHL goals, the only two goals the entire Penguins squad would manage in a 5-2 loss to the New York Rangers. Despite the loss for the Penguins it was an amazing moment for both Jake himself and the rest of his family who had an incredible emotional reaction to both goals.

You can see both the goals as well as the response from his family in the crowd in the video below.
