The Edmonton Oilers beat the Dallas Stars 6-3 in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final on Thursday night to set up a second straight meeting with the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Final. An emotional scene took place moments after the Oilers were presented the Clarence S. Campbell Bowl, which this time, they touched and brought along with them to the dressing room.

Video captured Leon Draisaitl and other Oilers’ teammates on a FaceTime call with injured forward Zach Hyman, right after the win and amid celebrations.

Hyman, who was seriously injured during Game 4 on Tuesday, underwent surgery on his wrist and is expected to miss the Stanley Cup Final against the Panthers, which kicks off on Wednesday. His contributions have not gone unnoticed for fans and especially his teammates, who wanted to make sure they got to share the success with Hyman at home.

Hyman has been a tremendous player for Edmonton since the start of the postseason, leading the NHL with 111 hits in 15 games this postseason and ranks fifth in scoring on Edmonton with 11 points (five goals, six assists). He scored 54 goals last season and 16 during the Oilers’ run to Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final.

And it feels now like the Oilers want to do all the way and hoisted the Stanley Cup, in great part for Hyman.
