Midway through a pretty strong performance from the Toronto Maple Leafs against the Los Angeles Kings this evening and things are starting to get a bit chippy. Early in the game Leafs forward Nick Robertson was the recipient of a big hit from Kings defenseman Matt Roy and appeared to separate his shoulder after getting dumped in the corner.
Check it out:
Robertson left the ice immediately following the hit and looked to be favoring his shoulder the entire time. The team announced that he will not be returning to action this evening.
And with the Leafs already down a man the last thing that they needed was to lose another... isn't that right, Pierre Engvall?
Engvall was ejected from the game and assessed a 5 minute major after cracking Kings defenseman Sean Durzi in the back of the head with his stick.
