Eric Staal granted a leave of absence from Wild

The Minnesota Wild have announced that forward Eric Staal will not join the team for their three game California road trip while he deals with a death in the family.
The 35 year old veteran forward is having yet another productive season with the Wild, putting up 19 goals and 47 points in 66 games.
Thoughts and prayers go out to the Staal family at this difficult time.
