The young superstar delivers a strong message to the NHL.
It was a season perhaps unlike any other for the Ottawa Senators in 2016-17. Despite being merely cast as an “also ran” to start the season and then again at the outset of the NHL’s Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Ottawa Senators finished the campaign just one goal shy of a Stanley Cup Finals appearance.
Erik Karlsson proved everyone in the series against the Pittsburgh Penguins that not only he has character but he is a real classy man. Yesterday, some reported that following the heartbreaking loss, Karlsson’s was chatting with Kris Letang.
And then he tweeted what could be seen as a strong message to the NHL fans:
“Thank you to everyone from my teammates to the front office to the guy on the street in this city. It was an amazing run that ended too quick.”
Classy. Good work all around, Ottawa.
