Eriksson, Anisimov and waiver wire action around the NHL
Plenty of transaction news in the NHL this week.

This just in, both Vancouver Canucks forward Loui Eriksson and Ottawa Senators forward Artem Anisimov have officially cleared waivers, along with Dallas Stars defenceman Taylor Fedun.
Check it out:
It's not terribly surprising that Eriksson and Anisimov both cleared waivers, given their onerous contracts. In Eriksson's case he has another season left with a $6 million cap hit, while Anisimov's $4.5 million cap hit expires at the end of this season. Both players are still quality depth NHLers who I'm sure could play for all 31 teams in the NHL, but there contracts make them an absolutely toxic asset. I'd say that I feel sorry for them if they weren't cashing in a $6 million and $4.5 million pay check, respectively.
