Evgeni Malkin misses out on huge chance as he attempts slick move!

The rivalry between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals didn’t have to wait too long to rekindle for the 2023-24 as the latter hosted the Pens for their home opener on Friday.
We expected a tight game, and that’s what was fans saw during the first period as we remain scoreless after 20 minutes.
However, the Penguins could have gotten the lead when the Capitals turned the puck over in front of none other than Evgeni Malkin, who then found himself all alone in front of goalie Charlie Lindgren. But then Geno decided to attempt a slick move as he tried a between-the-legs shot… and he didn’t score.
Not sure if he didn’t feel he could control it, but a wrister was there… However, Lindgren made the save and the game remained tied at 0.
Too bad Malkin missed out on a huge chance like this… because, well, he wanted show of…
UPDATE: Malkin redeemed himself in the second period when he scored his first of the season on a snap shot.
