Is this a case of “get off my lawn” or does he have a point?

Former NHL forward Joffrey Lupul has decided to put on his best Don Cherry hat and express what he feels is a plague of softness in today's League.

During a guest appearance on Missin' Curfew, Lupul called out players in today's NHL for being unable to cope with criticism from their coaches.

"It's a different athlete now. In every sport, everyone says it. They got more power. They don't handle criticism, guys will f***ing cry if the coach yells at them," said Lupul.

Lupul was joined by fellow former NHL forward Scottie Upshall, who echoed what he had to say.

"If players cried like they do today back then, you would've been gone," Upshall said.

Lupul appeared in 701 career NHL games with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Philadelphia Flyers, and Toronto Maple Leafs. But his career came to a close after undergoing sports hernia surgery in February of 2016.
