It's important to keep in mind that all of these predictions are subject to change as there will likely be a large amount of movement on National Hockey League rosters prior to the trade deadline, and possibly even after as teams scramble to prepare for the Expansion Draft.

A panel of three insiders, ESPN's Pierre LeBrun, and TSN's Frank Seravalli and Craig Button, assembled this week at attempted to break down the upcoming expansion draft taking a close look at what players are most likely to be exposed to the draft. Up next are the Edmonton Oilers:

The panel predicts that players exposed by Edmoton to the draft would be goaltender Lauren Brossoit, defensemen Brandon DavidsonSam Reinhart and Mark Fayne and forwards Mark Letestu and Benoit Pouliot.

The two who stand out as the most likely to be claimed here are defenseman Brandon Davidson and forward Benoit Pouliot. The problem for Pouliot here is his relatively large contract at $4 million per season for the next two seasons, were in not for the contract he would likely be a surefire loss for Edmonton in this draft.

Davidson on the other hand is a 26-year-old defenseman who had a very strong showing last season, and despite an injury keeping him out of action in this current season, a young and promising defenseman could be viewed as a premium piece of a new franchise.
