Fans were still finding their seats when the gloves came off at center ice.
Getting it out of the way. Boston Bruins tough guy Mark Kastelic did not waste any time on Thursday night when facing the Winnipeg Jets.
At center ice, three seconds into the game and right after the initial puck drop, Kastelic was hungry for a fight.
He immediately dropped the gloves with Luke Schenn and fans in attendance sprung to their feet to watch the tilt.
The boys exchanged a few tough blows with teammates cheering and some fans still getting to their seats, beer in hand.
However the fight ended almost as quickly as it had started. Both players fell down to the ice, tussling and wrestling, and were separated by the officials.
They got to watch the start of the game from the penalty box.
Kastelic was pumped on his way to the box, and perhaps it was his out of the gate fight that really got the Bruins going.
Boston came out on top in a 6-3 win in Winnipeg, and Kastelic collected an assist in the game.
But, when you come to think of it, he can have an unofficial assist on the victory as well, starting things off with a banger like he did.
