Failed Bruins prospect Zach Senyshyn signs a PTO

Former Boston Bruins 15th overall pick Zach Senyshyn has signed a professional tryout (PTO) contract with the New Jersey Devils.

The 25 year old Senyshyn spent parts of the past seven seasons in the Bruins organization, playing mostly with the team's AHL affiliate Providence Bruins. He was one of the infamous three first round picks by Bruins GM Don Sweeney in the 2015 NHL Draft along with Jakub Zboril and Jake DeBrusk.

Senyshyn, 25, spent parts of the past seven seasons with Boston's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, Providence, from 2017-18 to 2021-22. He was named assistant captain of Providence for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 campaigns. Additionally, Senyshyn, played in 16 contests for Belleville (Ottawa) last season in the AHL. Overall, the 6'1", 210lbs. forward totaled 113 career points (59g-54a) in 259 regular-season games at the AHL level.
Born on March 30, 1997, the native of Ottawa, Ont., was Boston's first-round selection, 15th overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft. Senyshyn skated in his NHL debut on Apr. 4, 2019, at Minnesota, and earned his first-career goal in the contest. Senyshyn has played in 16 career NHL contests since he debuted in 2018-19 with Boston.
