Fans come for Ron MacLean after MacLean bellyaches over Nazem Kadri's goal celebration

Ron MacLean needs to go. Been on the air for a decade too long at this point.

If indeed the St. Louis Blues lose their second round series to the Colorado Avalanche the entire series can be summed up in two words: Nazem Kadri.

Kadri, of course, has been Public Enemy #1 since "accidentally on purpose" injuring Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington earlier in the series and tonight... well... Kadri is up to his old tricks.

Kadri followed up that performance with a game for the ages in Game 4. The gritty forward put up a hat trick and found himself involved physically in a very entertaining game.

Check out Kadri scoring the go-ahead goal and then giving Blues fans a bit of the Hulk Hogan "Let me hear you!" gesture:

As you might imagine, that didn't exactly endear Kadri to the Blues' fans or the team's players.  It also didn't endear Kadri to longtime CBC broadcaster Ron MacLean either.

Following Kadri's first goal and the celebration above, MacLean went on a bit of a rant saying that Kadri was "taunting" and "inciting" the Blues faithful. That did NOT go over well with fans online and one fan in particular, Sebastian Jackson of The Black Girl Hockey Club, took to Twitter to voice his outrage.

Check it out:

While I don't share Jackson's outrage in this particular case, I'm not going to sit here and tell someone what they should and shouldn't care about. My opinion is that MacLean is out of touch and should have been taken off the airwaves long ago. This particular incidence is just another example in a long list of examples I could quote.

The fact is that MacLean has lost touch with his audience and he needs to step aside for someone else to take over the reigns.... just so long as it's not George Stromboloupolous...
