Fans lash out after Milbury's misogynistic comments tonight

Can this guy get through one damn broadcast without making a fool of himself?

Hello and welcoem to episode 1,487 in the "Mike Milbury is an Ass" show otherwise known as NHL on NBC.

The veteran broadcaster who has a habit of putting his foot in his putting his foot in his mouth and making an ass of himself literally EVERY time he's on the air, well... he put his foot in his mouth once again.

During tonight's broadcast of Game 5 between the Washington Capitals and New York Islanders, play by play announcer John Forslund was waxing poetically about the NHL's "bubble" in Toronto and how great of an environment it is for the players so that they can properly focus and get down to work. So what does Milbury do? He butts in with a ridiculous comment about how "there are no women around to distract you."

Seriously?

I wish I were kidding... check it out:

C'mon, Mike... it's 2020. If you can't do your damn job without being distracted by women then... well I don't know what to tell you, man. Just do better.

Suffice it to say that fan reaction is not kind to old Mike:

In all seriousness, hopefully this is just another ridiculous hot take from a guy who has seemingly made a career out of ridiculous hot takes. This is the guy who called the CN Tower the Space Needle last week and he is bemoaning the fact that Tuukka Rask left the Boston Bruins to be with his newborn daughter and wife. At this point, Milbury is little more than hot air. He so desperately wants to reach some sort of Don Cherry-like status, but he's at best a C-Level Grapes. Can we get someone new on NBC already?
