Hours before tonight’s game vs. Boston. The Habs haven’t played since Jan. 1st. You would imagine that the Montreal Canadiens are looking forward to getting back to action, as they set to face off against the Boston Bruins tonight. The Habs haven’t played since New Year’s Day and are 0-2-1 in its last three games…

However, tension was high at the morning skate on Wednesday, hours before puck drop at the TD Garden.

A reporter from RDS, Patrick Friolet caught head coach Dominique Ducharme and forward Jonathan Drouin in an argument, one that appeared significant enough that had the player screaming at his bench boss.

The journalist mentioned how unhappy Drouin seemed with his head coach.

This is the footage that is currently going viral on social media:

A lot is happening in Montreal as executive VP Jeff Gorton is still looking for his new general manager. While he did state that Ducharme was going to stay behind the Habs’ bench (at least for the remainder of the 2021-22 season), we bet Gorton does not enjoy seeing feud taking over practice ahead of a game.

Especially when the Bruins have won five of six since the Christmas break…

UPDATE: After practice, Ducharme explained what happened with Drouin, saying they were having an intense but positive conversation on strategy and how to get pucks to the net ahead of tonight's game.

"Everyone wants to be successful."
