Filip Chytil leaves the game after brutal knee-on-knee hit from Scott Mayfield
This looked nasty. What a terrible break for Chytil.
New York Rangers forward Filip Chytil was helped off the ice with an apparent knee injury after an ugly knee-on-knee collision with New York Islanders forward Scott Mayfield.
Here's the play in question:
Chytil remained on the ice for several minutes before he was eventually helped off the ice by teammates. Chytil's teammate Ryan Lindgren tried to get Mayfield to drop the gloves in retribution, but Mayfield declined.
