Final day of waivers in the preseason includes notable names.

NHL teams have sent several players to waivers in an effort to finalize their rosters before the regular season.

Today is the final day that teams around the National Hockey League can place players on waivers prior to the start of the 2023-24 regular season, with all rosters needing to be finalized by 5 PM EST on Monday. As is often the case during this time, a number of notable names have made their way onto the waiver wire today and we will almost certainly see some of these players claimed in then next 24 hours. 

There are a number of notable players on this list including established NHL veterans, recently signed depth players, and goaltenders that could peak the interest of rival teams and it is for this reason that I suspect we will see a number of claims submitted before this waiver process has concluded.
