The Maple Leafs finally pull the trigger..
The Toronto Maple Leafs have reportedly traded Bobby McMann to the Seattle Kraken. GM Brad Treliving lowered his asking price and gets in exchange for a 2nd round pick (2027) and a 4th round pick (2026) from the Kraken.
McMann, a big-bodied forward, is known for his speed, relentless forechecking, and scoring ability. His name has been mentioned several times in trade chatter in recent weeks.
He spent his first full season with the club last year, putting up 20 goals and 34 points in 74 games. McMann has played more prominently in the top six this season and has racked up 19 goals and 32 points through 60 games.
On Thursday, the Maple Leafs traded forward Nicolas Roy to the Colorado Avalanche in return for a conditional first-round pick at the 2027 draft along with a fifth-rounder.
In the event the first-round selection falls inside the top-10, the Avalanche would instead send the Maple Leafs their unprotected first-rounder in 2028. Toronto also gets the lowest of Colorado’s three picks in the fifth round of the 2026 draft as part of the swap.
Right after the McMann trade announcement, it was also reported that Toronto had moved veteran forward Scott Laughton to the Los Angeles Kings.
