This looks incredible!

Before the names 'Patrik Stefan' or 'Nail Yakupov' were known by anyone in the hockey world, there was one man synonymous with the term 'draft bust': Alexandre Daigle.

The 1st overall pick in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft was hyped as one of the best prospects in hockey history and was a blue chip, can't miss selection who was assured to be a superstar in the NHL. Then... well... nothing happened.

Daigle struggled through a mediocre career that was punctuated by more off-ice stories than on-ice stories. He was seemingly more interested in his acting career and in dating Hollywood actresses than he was in winning hockey games. Supremely talented, but without a hardworking bone in his body, Daigle failed to live up to the astronomic expecations that were placed on him.

Now, Amazon Prime is telling Daigle's story in full in a new feature titled 'Chosen One: Alexandre Daigle'.

Following a remarkable start and with all eyes on him, Daigle failed to live up to the unattainable expectations. Now, decades later, following a turbulent career on the ice, Daigle reflects on how he navigated the gap between people’s projections and his everyday existence, revealing the pressure and internal turmoil of not living up to the impossible hype.
