It seems like nothing good has been said about the Arizona Coyotes’ arena ahead of their home opener, FINALLY taking place on Friday. Not only their new 5,000 seat capacity arena in Tempe, Arizona will be the smallest in NHL history, but now images have emerged of the setup that awaits visiting teams at the start of the calendar. And it’s embarrassing.

PHNX Coyotes have revealed in a short video a first look at the temporary visiting team spaces (dressing room, training areas, etc.) for the first 4 NHL games at Mullett Arena.

The Winnipeg Jets are the first one to use the temporary setup and I simply cannot wait to see how the players will need to adapt to this odd and cheap environment..

As the tweet informs fans, the annex is being built and expected to be ready in December, but the Jets, New York Rangers, Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars will all have to use the current setup when they come to Arizona to face the Coyotes.

The Coyotes have been forced to play their first 20 regular season games on the road and have not and will not play any preseason contests at the small arena.

There were reports from Nick Kypreos that even the setup for the Coyotes’ players was inadequate and that the members of the team were upset with it.

There are some real rumblings about the boys not being happy down there. Like really upsetting… Even worse (than they were expecting,” Kypreos recently commented.

The Mullett Arena might be brand new, but players aren’t impressed, and from what we get from Kypreos, players are really upset with it… And we can only imagine how visiting players will react now that we know what they will be welcomed by once they get there!
