It doesn't look pretty for the Maple Leafs.

The Toronto Maple Leafs front office made a number of trades this week both at the National Hockey League's Trade Deadline as well as in the days leading up to it, trades that have left them with significantly less depth at the forward position.

Forwards Nic Roy, Bobby McMann and Scott Laughton were all sent packing in individual trades of their own which left questions about what the Leafs lineup would look like moving forward with so many bodies moved off the roster.

On Saturday we got our first look at what is Craig Berube's first iteration of a lineup with what is his depleted roster of players, with the results looking less than inspired. Here is a look at the Leafs 4 forward lines from this morning's skate:

Maccelli - Matthews - Nylander

Knies - Tavares - Cowan

Joshua - Domi - Robertson

Lorentz - Quillan - Jarnkrok

The Maple Leafs didn't make any moves on the blue lines despite there being significant rumors surrounding both Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Morgan Rielly, leaving the defensive pairings looking like much of the same.

Rielly - Carlo

McCabe - Ekman-Larsson

Benoit - Stecher

It will be goaltender Anthony Stolarz who gets the nod tonight when the Maple Leafs take on the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Craig Berube was asked how he was processing what is currently going on with his team and his non-answer spoke volumes.

"I don't think that right now is the right time to process the whole thing with you guys, and talk about everything, what I'm feeling and what I'm seeing," said Berube. "We’ll do that another time, OK?"
