Although we are still several weeks away from the start of the new National Hockey League season, preparations in Salt Lake City, Utah are already well underway. That is made all the more impressive when you consider the relatively short window that the Utah Hockey Club and owner Ryan Smith have been given to prepare after purchasing the Coyotes back in April of 2024.
On Sunday, the Utah Hockey Club gave us an early look at one of the things we can expect to see from them next season, their inaugural ice surface for their inaugural season in the NHL. As you might expect things were pretty standard until we got to center ice, which gave us the first look at how the new NHL brand will look to present itself come next season.
The preview was released in a video published via the team's official social media channels and the first thing you notice is that the team will be playing in what much more closely resembles an NHL venue than the previous home of the Arizona Coyotes.
I can't wait to see what else this organization has in store for us this season as I expect they will look to make their mark very quickly as the NHL's newest franchise.
