One of the National Hockey League's upcoming stars showed off his sense of humor off the ice recently.
As many of you will know, the London Knights captured the Memorial Cup this season, a trophy that many have argued is even more difficult to attain than the Stanley Cup. Naturally the team had a celebratory parade after the fact, and this year's 6th overall draft pick Matthew Tkachuk used the opportunity to show off his meme game.
Despite the magnitude of the moment for the young man, he opted to wear a rather hilarious "RIP Harambe" shirt at the event instead of his London Knights jersey, which he draped around his shoulders.
It's just a kid having some good natured fun in a big moment, which says some positive things about the attitude he brings to life, something the Flames are likely going to be very happy with.
Sticks out for Harambe?
