Keystone Press.

The Clagary Flames are not rushing their coaching search.

According to Sportsnet hockey insider Elliotte Friedman the Flames added yet another candidate to their long list of candidates this week when they interview veteran head coach Randy Carlyle for their vacant coaching position.

Randy Carlyle interviewed with both the Ducks and Flames at the NHL combine on Tuesday.

Caryle has been out of the league for some time now, having last coached the Maple Leafs in what was a disastrous final season with that club, although how much the fault lies with him is heavily debatable. While he did interview with the Flames, Friedman did add that he feels the Ducks have a better shot of signing him.

My guess is he’s a more serious candidate in Anaheim than Calgary.

At this point with so many names on the list for Calgary who actually gets the job is anyone's guess.
