The Calgary Flames have assigned forward Tanner Glass to the Stockton Heat (AHL), the team announced on Tuesday. In seven games played with the Flames this season, the 33-year old veteran didn't register a point and had five penalty minutes. Glass was placed on waivers Monday, and was not claimed by any of the other 30 teams.

Glass was drafted 265th overall by the Florida Panthers in 2003. He played 518 games in the NHL with the Flames, the New York Rangers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Winnipeg Jets, the Vancouver Canucks and the Panthers, registering 69 points and 644 penalty minutes. He added six points in 67 games played.

Flames General Manager Brad Treliving signed Glass as a free agent last summer.
