Flames officially unveil their new GM and management staff

The Calgary Flames have officially named former Flames forward Craig Conroy as the team's new general manager.
Conroy replaces longtime GM Brad Treliving, after serving as the team's assistant general manager for the past 9 seasons. To say that it was time for Conroy to get his shot at the GM role is the understatement of the offseason.
"We conducted an extensive search process and today we are thrilled to introduce Craig Conroy as our General Manager," said Flames President of Hockey Operations Don Maloney. "It is rewarding for the organization to learn that the most qualified individual for the position has been preparing in house. Craig brings a fresh approach; high energy; he is a tremendous communicator; decisive; a worker; and he is relationship driven. His passion for the Flames and the community are unmatched. Craig is ready for the challenge to lead our team to the Stanley Cup."
Joining Conroy on the Flames' staff will be former Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks GM Dave Nonis as assistant GM, while Chris Snow and Brad Pascall retain their positions.
Absent from this announcement though is Flames legend Jarome Iginla who was rumored to be joining the team along, as well. Stay tuned for more on that though, there's a sense that Iginla would like to finish coaching his youngest son this upcoming season and may join the Flames' staff in the 2024 offseason.
