The Calgary Flames have poached a defenseman from the Vegas Golden Knights.
On Saturday, the Golden Knights made the decision to place undrafted defenseman Brayden Pachal on waivers in a move that some felt could prove costly. As it turns out those predictions were correct, as Pachal has now been claimed by a rival team in the National Hockey League.
According to a report from NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Calgary Flames have submitted a claim for Pachal and have now added him to their roster with no return coming the way of the Godden Knights.
Pachal has appeared in 17 games this season for the Golden Knights and has 1 goal and no assists for a total of 1 point over that stretch. He also has 12 penalty minutes to his name and currently boasts a plus minus rating of -2 on the season.
