Things aren't going too well for the Calgary Flames as of late. After Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, the Flames had lost their 5th consecutive game.
Tonight as they face the St. Louis Blues on the road, Calgary will try to snap their losing streak and to get back to their winning ways. Surprisingly enough, coach Peters has decided to stick with the exact same line combina that faced defeat on Tuesday.
While Peters shows faith in his team's ability to find success with its current lineup, some fans may wonder whether it is time to try something new. In any case, the Flames will have the opportunity to develop chemistry and perseverance with the lines unchanged.
This means that David Rittich will once again start in front of the net for the Flames while Cam Talbot will play second fiddle.
Here is the Flames' projected lineup for tonight's game in St. Louis according to NHL.com correspondent Louie Korac:
Forwards:
Johnny Gaudreau - Mikael Backlund - Elias Lindholm
Matthew Tkachuk - Sean Monahan - Andrew Mangiapane
Milan Lucic - Derek Ryan - Dillon Dube
Zac Rinaldo - Mark Jankowski - Michael Frolik
Defencemen:
Mark Giordano - Rasmus Andersson
Noah Hanifin - Michael Stone
Oliver Kylington - Brandon Davidson
Goaltenders:
David Rittich
Cam Talbot
Alexander Yelesin and Tobias Rieder are set to be the healthy scratches. Meanwhile, Sam Bennett, Austin Czarnik, TJ Brodie and Travis Hamonic are all still nursing injuries.
The St. Louis Blues are coming off a 3-1 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning. That being said they had lost their previous 3. The Flames will have to find a way to turn the tide against a hungry Blues team.
Great Hockey ahead!
