As the Golden Knights get set to host the Winnipeg Jets this evening, what many feared concerning Marc-André Fleury seems to have come to fruition. the veteran goalkeeper will be sidelined. The cause: he has the flu, or at least that's what coach Gallant says.

Yesterday, Fleury missed the Golden Knights' practice and goaltender Garret Sparks was called back up from the Chicago Wolves. Gallant said after the practice that it was only a maintenance day for Fleury. It appears that the Flower's maintenance day did not do him any good as he is out with the flu.

That means that Malcom Subban will be starting in front of the net for Vegas while Garret Spark backs him up. It will be Subban's second start of the season after being sidelined with an injury. he will look for his first win of the season.

The rest of the lineup will be identical to the one that faced the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday, with the exception that Deryk Engelland will play on the bottom defensive pairing, while Jon Merril will play on the second pair with Shea Theodore.

Here is the Golden Knight's projected lineup for tonight's matchup against the Jets according to NHL.com correspondent Danny Webster:

Forwards:

Jonathan Marchessault - William Karlsson - Reilly Smith

Max Pacioretty - Paul Stastny - Mark Stone

Alex Tuch - Cody Eakin - Cody Glass

William Carrier - Tomas Nosek - Ryan Reaves

Defensemen:

Brayden McNabb - Nate Schmidt

Jon Merrill - Shea Theodore

Nick Holden - Deryk Engelland

Goaltenders:

Malcom Subban

Garret Sparks

Brandon Pirri is the only healthy scratch, while Fleury is out with the flu and Zykov is still serving his suspension for drug use.

The Jets will still be without the services of Dustin Byfuglien, Patrik Laine and Nathan Beaulieu among other names tonight. However, that will still rely on the likes of Mark Scheifele, Blake Wheeler, Kyle Connors, Bryan Little and Nikolaj Ehlers on offense. Not unlike Vegas, Winnipeg is a very dangerous team offensively speaking and the defense on both sides will have to play hard tonight.

It should be a very interesting game.

As for Marc-André Fleury, let's hope and pray that he gets back to full health as soon as possible.
