Florida Panthers arena name change has been leaked.

The Florida Panthers are putting a new name on their building, and it has come out early.

The Florida Panthers may have sprung a bit of a leak.

Over the last little while an image has been making the rounds on social media that heavily suggests we are in for a name change when it comes to the Florida Panthers' home ice facility, and now that rumor has gained a considerable amount of credibility.

According to a report from Andy Slater of Fox Sports, we now have a domain name being registered that would appear to fit neatly with the rumor that has been circulating. That rumor suggests that the soon to be former FLA Live Arena will see a name change for this upcoming National Hockey League season, with the new name set to be the Amerant Bank Arena.

I will admit that my initial impression is that this is a downgrade in terms of just the name, but no doubt this also represents the start of what is likely to be a lucrative naming rights deal for the Florida Panthers organization.

You can see the photo that sparked the rumor just below, one that features what is believed to soon be the arena's new name.
