The Philadelphia Flyers called up defenseman Will O'Neill, the team announced on Tuesday.
O'Neill, 29, was drafted 210th overall by the Atlanta Trashers in 2006. He never played a game in the NHL since he graduated from the University of Maine. In 346 games played in the AHL, the American defenseman registered 191 points, and added 20 points in 27 playoff games.
The Flyers are still dealing with the injuries of rookie Nolan Patrick and veteran defenseman Andrew McDonald.
