The Flyers may have the worst luck when it comes to off season injuries this year. They lost arguably their #1 defenseman Kimmo Timonen, Claude Giroux got injured on the very first day off on ice practice during training camp and back up goaltender Ray Emery and center Sean Couturier also sidelined with injuries. Add to all that Ryan White is expected to miss 5 months due to a torn pectoral muscle suffered in August. However there is some positive news for Flyers Fans Claude Giroux returned to practice this week, he was originally expected to miss some games at the start of the regular season.  Ray Emery and Sean Couturier are now listed as day to day which is an improvement from no expected time frame for their return. The Flyer will still likely struggle to replace the hole on their blue line left by Timonen however and there is no obvious solution in sight.
