Bad setback for the Flyers.
The Philadelphia Flyers pulled off a major trade earlier this season, acquiring defenseman Jamie Drysdale from the Anaheim Ducks along with a second-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft in exchange for Cutter Gauthier.
However, Drysdale has suffered a significant setback. Earlier today, it was announced by the Flyers that he’s being placed on Long Term Injured Reserve, shelving him from action for the foreseeable future.
He was categorized as being “week to week” with his health after taking heavy hit from Pittsburgh’s Jansen Harkins over the weekend.
Needless to say, this is a big setback for the Flyers at such a critical junction of the season.
